What it is and what it costs

EroticStories.com is a free archive of written adult fiction. Its home page calls itself a site of "free erotic stories, sex stories and romantic stories for your reading pleasure" and describes the material as erotic literature intended for an adult audience. The stories are text, and the site splits them into 4 sections: straight, gay, lesbian and bisexual. A visitor can read as a guest. The story lists carry a "Level: guest" label and a log-in link.

Money enters through the FanClub. The main menu lists a Pictures option, described as picture galleries with high quality pictures, and a Video option, described as video clips to view or download. Both are marked "FanClub only". The menu describes the FanClub itself with the line "Support this site!", and the home page carries a "24/7 billing support" link for paying members. The stories, the category lists, the search and the author pages are the free side. The galleries and clips are the paid side.

The pages do not print a FanClub price, a trial offer or a plan length. The terms, the billing support page, the privacy policy and the menu all describe how membership works without giving a figure. The operator line at the foot of the front page reads "(C) Copyright 1999-2026 Artware Internet Consultancy. All rights reserved."

Paying and stopping

The pages name more than one billing party. The billing support page is organized by who made the charge. Option 1 is a charge from Artware.net, Option 2 a charge from CCBill.com and Option 3 a charge from Epoch.com. Separately, a paragraph in the terms says that to complete a purchase the buyer is transferred to the secured server of JETTIS.COM Inc., a California corporation, which the terms call the "Processor". That paragraph says the Processor is an independent company that has no control over the web site and has not reviewed its content. The pages do not say which of these applies to a given sign-up, and they do not print a statement descriptor, so how a charge reads on a card or bank statement is not stated anywhere on them.

Renewal is spelled out. The terms say that payment may be made by automatic credit card debit, and that "Members will be automatically renewed for the original term upon expiration, unless Subscriber cancels the membership at least 24 hours prior to membership expiration." The renewal is into the original term, and the cutoff is 24 hours before expiration. The terms also let the service bill the same card, or another approved payment method, for anything else EroticStories.com sells. Membership may not be assigned or transferred to another person.

Cancellation has several routes, and the billing support page ranks them. The first suggestion is to log in to the FanClub and use the membership options there, with a password reminder service for members who have lost their details. For a charge from Artware.net, the page points to a membership information page where a member can "instantly cancel your membership with a few mouseclicks", calls this "by far the easiest method", and gives an email route to the webmaster as an alternative, asking for the username and full name. For CCBill.com and Epoch.com charges, the page sends the member to each company's own customer service website, where the membership can be canceled, and lists a toll-free phone line open around the clock for each, for billing questions only. General questions go to the webmaster. The terms add that either side may end the subscription at any time and without cause, by electronic or conventional mail or by telephone.

Refunds are the weak point. The terms say twice that subscription fees are non-refundable, and add that when termination is requested by a member, fees are not refunded and the subscriber stays liable for charges incurred until termination. The terms also cap the operator's liability at the amount paid by the subscriber over the preceding 12 months and disclaim warranties about the service's content, accuracy and availability. Members are told to report a changed card expiry date, a changed billing address or a security breach promptly, and they remain liable for unauthorized use of their ID and password until the operator is notified by email or telephone. On request, members can see the billing records behind their charges.

Account, data and the site's rules

No account is needed to read. The menu offers "Create a new login account (username & password)" to anyone who wants the extras, and the privacy policy says that to use the site fully a user must complete the registration form. Registration asks for information "optionally", with an email address given as the example, plus optional demographic details such as gender. The policy says that information is used to contact the member about products and services they have shown interest in, and that the operator may email about specials, new products or policy changes unless asked not to. Opting out is possible at any time.

On data, the policy says the operator collects only what a visitor voluntarily gives by email or other direct contact, and will not sell or rent it. A visitor can email to see what data is held, correct it, delete it or raise a concern. Card data is not collected on the site at all: the policy says payment details go to a specialized third party. Cookies are used to recognize repeat visitors so a password is not needed twice, and the policy says they can also be used to track and target users' interests, though it states they are not tied to personally identifiable information. A links section says the operator is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other sites it links to.

The terms add a few rules. A subscriber warrants being over 18. Subscribers who share information with each other agree not to submit defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, threatening, racially offensive or illegal material, and the material on the service is for private, non-commercial enjoyment. The menu carries a Complaint option to request content removal, and an Author tools option for writers who want to submit stories. The pages name the operator only through the Artware Internet Consultancy copyright line.

The 18 U.S.C. 2257 notice is on its own page and covers visual depictions of sexually explicit conduct, meaning the picture galleries. It states that the people shown were over 18 when the depictions were made, and it lists a records custodian for each outside producer whose images the site licenses. The written stories are text and are not what that notice describes.

Its front page, as loaded in October 2026, pulled nothing from any outside domain: 6 requests in all, with no ad network and no redirect away on load.

What the membership and the free side hold

The free side is the larger one. The category page offers a long list of headings, from romantic and poems to sci-fi/fantasy, humor and parody, and audio stories. Each category page shows a count: in October 2026 the older women/men category held 1087 stories, 1080 of them in the archive, with its last update on Oct 13 2026. Stories in that category reach back to June 2000, and the new stories list showed items added on Oct 14 2026, so the archive reaches back to 2000 and is still receiving stories.

Each entry in a list shows its category tag, word count, author name, date added, reads and views with a read percentage, and a story vote with the number of votes. Long series are labeled by part, for example 42 of 43. Lists can be sorted by date added, times read, average vote or number of words. The menu adds a Top stories page ranked on vote and times read, an Authors page listing every contributing writer and their stories, Interviews with popular authors, and a Search by keyword, author or date added.

Logged-in readers get a Settings page to change how the site looks and works, favorites lists for authors, stories, videos and picture galleries, and ES mail, a private mailbox for writing to authors and other users. The Pictures and Video sections sit behind the FanClub. The front page also points German readers to a separate German-language stories site.

Who it suits

It suits a reader who wants written stories without making an account or handing over a card, and who would rather browse by category and sort by votes, reads or length. It also suits a buyer who values being told exactly where to cancel: the billing support page gives a member-area route, an Artware route, and a customer service site plus a phone line for CCBill and for Epoch.

The caveats are about the paid side. The pages give no price, no trial terms and no descriptor, they name 3 billing parties on one page and a fourth in the terms without saying which applies when, and they state that fees are non-refundable once charged. A reader who stays on the free side avoids all of that. The strength here is plain: a large, long-running archive of written stories that anyone can read and sort without signing up.
