What it is and what it costs

Ailina is a German-language AI companion platform that runs in the browser. The front page calls it "Eine deutschsprachige KI-Companion-Plattform, über 70 einzigartige Begleiter, alle vollständig KI-generiert" (a German-language AI companion platform, over 70 unique companions, all fully AI-generated), with chat, images, videos, voice messages and, on the VIP plan, live phone-style calls. It is built as a progressive web app, so there is no app store listing and no download. A visitor adds the page to a phone's home screen if they want it to behave like an app. The app page explains the choice itself: Apple and Google ban erotic content in their stores, and the site wants to keep its 18+ mode and its full feature set.

The money model has 3 layers. A free tier gives 15 guest messages with no sign-up, then 15 messages a day with a free account that needs only an email address. A paid tier adds unlimited messages, more characters and voice messages, in 2 plans called Premium and VIP, each with a monthly and an annual option. Beside the plans sits a currency called diamonds, which pays for generated photos and videos. The 18+ mode, with its explicit images and videos, is a paid feature, marketed under the label "Spicy" for the images.

The site is written for German speakers. A handful of pages exist in English, and the support contact lists German and English, but the plan cards, the FAQ, the refund policy and the content rules are all in German.

Paying and stopping

Payments run through Centrobill. The pricing page says "Abgewickelt über Centrobill: PCI-DSS-zertifiziert" (processed via Centrobill, PCI-DSS certified), and adds that the site keeps no card data because card details are typed only on Centrobill's payment page. The FAQ calls Centrobill the site's EU payment partner and says a Visa or Mastercard is needed to buy Premium, VIP or diamonds, while the pricing page also lists Apple Pay and Google Pay and says each card payment is confirmed by the bank through 3DS. The free chat needs no card.

The pricing page prints how the charge reads: "Auf deinem Kontoauszug erscheint je nach Bank: CENTROBILL oder CENTROHELP" (on your statement it appears, depending on your bank, as CENTROBILL or CENTROHELP). An English page about the free plan says the same thing in other words: the statement shows a neutral descriptor rather than the site name.

In October 2026 the pricing page listed a one-time 7-day trial for 4,99 € that includes full Premium access and 300 diamonds, limited to once per user and stated to carry no automatic renewal; Premium at 9,99 € per month; and VIP at 24,99 € per month. Both plans renew on their own, and the plan cards say so in the same words: Premium "Verlängert sich automatisch um 1 Monat zu 9,99€, bis du kündigst" and VIP "Verlängert sich automatisch um 1 Monat zu 24,99€, bis du kündigst" (renews automatically by 1 month until you cancel). The annual option is printed 2 ways: the video page gives Premium at 8,25 € a month billed yearly, while an English page gives 7.99 € a month billed annually. The trial is the one product the pages say does not renew.

Canceling is described the same way on several pages. The refund page says "Abonnements (Premium, VIP) können jederzeit zum Ende der aktuellen Laufzeit gekündigt werden" (subscriptions can be canceled at any time, effective at the end of the current term). The FAQ says a subscription ends "Jederzeit mit einem Klick im Bereich Abo verwalten" (at any time with one click in the manage subscription area), that full access continues to the end of the period already paid, and that the account then drops back to the free plan. The footer also links a separate "Verträge hier kündigen" (cancel contracts here) page.

Refunds are narrow but not absent. The pricing FAQ says a buyer waives the right of withdrawal under § 356 Abs. 5 BGB, that diamonds and the trial are not refundable, and that "Abos laufen bis zum Ende des Zeitraums" (subscriptions run to the end of the term); periods already paid are not refunded pro rata, the refund page adds. The pages write down 2 exceptions. Where a technical fault means diamonds are not credited or Premium is not switched on, the refund page promises a manual credit or a full refund, asks for the transaction ID by email and says requests are usually handled within 24 to 48 hours. An accidental purchase is reviewed case by case, the pricing FAQ says. A paying user who rates a generated image or video with a thumbs down gets its diamonds back automatically, in about half an hour. Bought diamonds do not expire while the account stays open, even after a plan is canceled.

Diamonds are bought in packs, separate from the plans. In October 2026 the pricing page listed a one-time starter pack of 250 diamonds for 1,99 € (once per account), 350 diamonds for 4,99 €, and larger packs above that, the biggest of them sold only to buyers who have already spent a set amount on diamonds. A standard photo costs 25 diamonds, an explicit "Spicy" photo 50 diamonds, and an 8-second video 120 diamonds.

Account, data and the site's rules

Chat can start without any account. A free account takes an email address or a Google login, and the pages say no payment details are asked for until a paid product is chosen. The 18+ mode sits behind an age step. The FAQ calls it an age confirmation, and the page about unfiltered chat calls it a one-time age verification that German and EU rules on protecting minors require. For buyers, the pricing page ties it to the card: payment carries an 18+ check through the bank's 3DS step, and each purchase confirms that the buyer is of age. The pages do not describe the check for a free account.

On data, the site says chats are stored encrypted on EU servers, that the service follows GDPR, that personal data is not passed to third parties for advertising and that data and the whole account can be deleted at any time. The companion page adds that saved memories about the user can be viewed and deleted. The pricing FAQ sends readers to the privacy policy for the list of hosting, payment and AI-model providers.

The footer links privacy (Datenschutz), terms (AGB), a content policy, a report-abuse form, a refund policy, an imprint (Impressum) and cookie settings. The pages name no operator. The content policy is the age statement: it lists sexually explicit content as a Premium and VIP matter, says "Charaktere sind 18+" (characters are 18+), and states that every character is AI-generated and that no real person is depicted. It bans sexual content involving minors, acts without consent, sexual violence, animals and content about real living people, with an account blocked on the first breach. Messages pass a word filter and 2 AI checks before and after each reply, plus a compliance check that the policy says Centrobill requires. Reports go to an abuse address and are reviewed within 24 hours, and a wrongly blocked message can be appealed from a button under it. The FAQ adds that users under 18 are not admitted, and a legal notice in the footer of every page says all profiles are fictional AI characters and that no real-world meetings are arranged.

User-made characters appear in a community section, built with the character editor. The free plan allows 1 custom character after verification, Premium up to 5 a month and VIP unlimited, according to the pricing FAQ.

On the page load: in October 2026 the front page at ailina.chat made 103 requests and loaded 2 third-party domains, facebook.com and facebook.net, with no ad network named and no redirect elsewhere on load.

What the free tier and plans hold

The free tier is chat with the main characters. In October 2026 the front page gave 2 counts for it: its plan card says 10 basic characters, while its own FAQ, like the app page, says 5 companions. The free tier also includes non-explicit images paid in diamonds, a 50-diamond welcome bonus, login-streak diamonds and the character editor. Guests get 5 test messages with a Premium character and 3 with a VIP character.

In October 2026 the pricing page listed what each plan adds. Premium brings unlimited messages, all of the 60-plus premium characters, a welcome bonus and 500 diamonds a month, voice messages at 10 diamonds each, 5 custom characters a month and improved long-term memory. VIP brings all of the 70-plus characters including VIP-only ones, early access to new characters, 1.200 diamonds as a welcome bonus and each month, unlimited custom characters, priority generation and the Talk mode, a live voice conversation charged per spoken message and marked beta. Video is a plan feature: Premium videos render at 480p and VIP videos at 720p, according to the video page.

Images come from a separate image model per character, which the site says keeps the same person looking the same across pictures. Videos animate an image already generated in the chat, and the video page is open that the clips are short, with small movements and the odd artifact. Voices differ per character, and the FAQ says some characters speak Bavarian, Viennese or Swiss German dialects. Characters remember names, jobs, hobbies and personal stories across conversations.

Its place in the AI category is plain from the pricing: explicit "Spicy" photos and videos are priced in diamonds, and the FAQ describes the 18+ mode as open and sensual conversation with many characters, reserved for adults after the age step.

Who it suits and who it does not

Ailina suits a German speaker who wants to try conversation first and spend later, since the free chat asks for no account, and who is comfortable with a pay-per-image currency alongside a monthly plan. The cancellation path is described the same way on several pages, the descriptor is printed, and the trial states plainly that it does not renew.

It suits less well anyone who wants a refund for diamonds or the trial outside a technical fault, or who wants the company behind the site named. The pages name no operator, the free character count and the annual Premium rate are each printed 2 ways, and the site is German-only in practice.

The strength is the clarity of the billing: a named processor, a printed statement wording, a one-time trial that says it will not renew, 2 monthly plans with a stated renewal line on each card and a written refund rule for faults, all set out on the site's own pages.
